Here’s our list of the best Lake George wedding venues in the area! Lake George is one of the most iconic and premier locations for weddings. The Lake has a similar feel to Italy but in upstate New York, no wonder its so popular!

1. The Sagamore Resort

The Sagamore Resort is one of the best Lake George wedding venues! This venue is nestled on the shores of Lake George and has incredible views of the Adirondacks. The Resort has four distinct areas that you can have your wedding.

The Shelving Rock Terrace is if those of you who have larger weddings up to 100 people. This space is a climate controlled tent which provides a true indoor-outdoor event. The Morgan, which is great for 50-75 guests. Its actually a boat where you can experience a four hour reception cruise. 2. The Silver Bay YMCA Conference and Family Retreat Center

The The Silver Bay YMCA is one of the best Lake George wedding venues! Its a beautiful property where you can choose your ceremony location. One of the coolest spots is the eclectic ceremony space, that is a mix between an epic church with a timber lodge. The surrounding areas have amazing views of the mountains and the lake which creates amazing backdrops to your photographs. They also have plenty of space for your reception. 3. The Inn at Erlowest

The Inn at Erlowest is one of the best Lake George Wedding Venues, and will likely be at the top of your list if you are looking for an elegant venue with amazing lake views. They have a beautiful lake side ceremony site with full view of the mountains Pilot Knob and Buck Mountain. Or you can opt for the ceremony on the grand patio (which still has amazing views). The Inn at Erlowest is a beautiful castle built in 1898, and it perfect for the couples that value beauty with a rich history. 4. The Promise Gardens of the Adirondacks

The Promise Gardens of the Adirondacks is one of the best Lake George wedding venues. This venue is one of the most well thought out venues and one of the most beautiful. The whole venue is very unique and feels very intimate for you and your guests.

The main areas are: The celebration barn where you will have you amazing reception, the garden terrace which is a beautiful place filled with flowers and seating for cocktail hour, the enchanted walkway which is lined with string lights for that intimate at home feel, the dinner canopy where your guests will have their seated dinner, the promise meadows which has amazing overlooks of the Adirondacks and also has a space for an outdoor ceremony site, the Adirondack lounge which is very rustic and where the groom usually gets ready, the secret gardens which is another beautiful place for guests during the cocktail hour, and finally the garden cottage which has a lighter touch and perfect for the bridal party. 5. The Barn at Lorde Howe Valley

The Barn at Lorde Howe Valley is one of the best Lake George wedding venues. If you are looking for a beautiful venue nestled in the mountains, this is the one. Even though there is no lake side view, this venue made the top of my list because of the incredible views of the ceremony site. The barn is where you will have your reception, which it is a custom designed timber frame barn with incredible chandeliers. The full property is 77 acres and gives you the amazing fresh mountain air. As a photographer in the Adirondacks, I love the opportunity to spend time in the mountains, they inspire me! 6. The Queensbury Hotel

The Queensbury Hotel is one of the best Lake George wedding venues. Its actually located in the adjacent town of Glens Falls but is very close to the lake. The space is what I would describe as grand, classic, and filled with rich history. The venue was built in 1926 and has all of the 20’s classic feel to it, including checker board floor tiles and period art on the walls. The space itself is 15,000 sq ft which is great for those larger weddings! Some of our favorite spaces are the Queen’s Ballroom and the Gold Room. 7. The Lodges at Cresthaven (The Boat House)

The Lodges at Cresthaven is one of the best Lake George wedding venues! The Boathouse is an incredible intimate wedding venue in Lake George. As the name eludes to, it’s on the lake with stunning views of the lake and the Adirondacks. My personal favorite place at this venue is the lakeside ceremony location and the docks, it creates amazing photographs. 8. The Lake George Steam Boat Company

The Lake George Steam Boat Company is one of the best Lake George wedding venues, also the most unique on this list. Looking for something outside of the box? How about getting married on an early 1900’s classic steamboat? They have two vessels, the Lac Du Saint Sacrement is and the Mohican. The Lac Du Saint is the larger of the two and can accommodate up to 350 guests with a traditional sitdown wedding dinner. Either boat creates an extremely unique venue selection because there are very few boat weddings in the entire US. 9. The Fort William Henry Hotel and Conference Center

The Fort William Henry Hotel is one of the best Lake George wedding venues! If you are looking for a luxury experience with a view of Lake George, this is the place for you! The hotel offers first-class accommodations and incredible views. The 18 acre resort has a few distinct areas at the Hotel. There is a beautiful outdoor ceremony site which has incredible lakeside views. The most grand and luxurious room for your reception is the White Lion Room, filled with classical interior design. 10. The Lake George Club

The Lake George Club is one of the best Lake George wedding venues! The space is incredible and has amazing views. The best view is from their ceremony site on the dock that overlooks Lake George. The ceremony space is quite unique and is the only venue in the area that has a dock for their ceremony space. Sailboats usually anchor near by which creates a beautiful backdrop for your wedding. The Lake George Beach Club is one of the best Lake George wedding venues! As you can see from the photo, its perched on the shores of the iconic Lake George. The venue features two decks with overlooks of the lake and the Adirondacks. Personally this space is perfect for those who want more of a relaxed experience, perfect for intimate “real” weddings.
